The cost of a school meal is £1.25.  A pudding is an additional 20p.  The meals in school are of a very high standard. The full weekly cost of £7.25 (with pudding) should, preferably, be paid on MONDAY by the child.

bullet

For convenience, the money should be placed in a purse with the child's name clearly marked.

bullet

Packed lunches may be taken.  Children taking packed lunches will be supervised in classrooms.

bullet

BREAK-TIMEPrimary 1 will be provided with juice at break-time. This costs £3.00 for the entire year. Crisps, costing 10p, can be bought from our tuck shop.  All profits go towards school funds. Crisps may be paid for at the beginning of each week.

SCHOOL FUND

There is a school fund which is used for sports and outings and the purchase of certain useful items of equipment.  Each child is asked to contribute to this fund. A note will sent to parents at the beginning of the first term informing them as to when this should be paid.

DISCIPLINE

The aim of the school is to do the best for each child not only by providing the best tuition possible but also: -

bullet

By providing the kind of safe, happy environment where children can learn and develop good work habits.

bullet

By encouraging a respect for the feelings and opinions of others and of course, their property.

In order to achieve all this it is necessary to have a set of rules within which the school can operate smoothly.  Parents' support in achieving the above is crucial.

GENERAL GUIDELINES

bullet

Regular attendance is important to your child’s education.

bullet

If your child has been absent please inform the school by letter as to the reason.

bullet

Report any change of address or telephone number to the school immediately.

bullet

Try to accept every invitation to visit the school either to see the Principal or on such occasions as Parent/Teacher interviews, Concerts, Open Days etc. Children derive great satisfaction from this kind of interest.

bullet

Any worries or problems you may have concerning your children do not hesitate to contact the school about them.

bullet

Parents should check their child's schoolbag each day for letters that may have been sent out from school. This is particularly important for parents who have young children attending school. Any reply slips should be returned to school promptly.

bullet

Please ensure that your child is in school in the morning on time. Children should develop the habit of arriving on time.

bullet

We would ask parents not to drive into the school grounds and to observe the road markings at the school entrance.

bullet

If you wish to discuss any matter concerning school we would ask you to make an appointment.  This may be done by telephoning the school secretary and arranging an appropriate time.
